by theonlygoodthingvlog 10 months agoI've been a KISS fan for years, but I've been re-watching their music videos like crazy these past couple of days xD Would you believe I've listened to them on repeat, but have never watched these till now? Best band ever <3

by Animalize 1 year agoThe hottest band on the world! This is a band that always makes me happy and energetic even if I have had the worst day. Loved them since the day I was born!

by Poisoned 1 year agoTheir concert tapes put me in delirium, I can only imagine what's it like live. Ah, I envy you guys :) Thank God that time doesn't harm them at all, so I REALLY hope to see them at least once.

by SIXX-Again 1 year ago9/19/2010. KISS concert last night! An outdoor concert in Frisco, TX.
Arrived at 5:30, hoping to catch Drowning Pool and then KISS. Nope. They were the first act. I got there just in time for... Pat Green. PAT GREEN?! Who the fuck is Pat Green? And why the fuck is he opening for the hottest band in the world?! Well, he's a COUNTRY SINGER! And he tortured me, I mean played for AN HOUR!
Fine. I crowd watched with my equally bored daughter. It's amazing to see the age span of dedicated KISS fans. From little kids to old folks wearing the makeup, some in full makeup AND costumes. Especially under the Texas sun! It was HOT!
Pat Green finally got off stage, telling us Daughtry will be out shortly. ?!?!?! I thought I had heard it was Drowning Pool and NOT Daughtry! Nope. My daughter and I had to endure his shitty music TOO!! I told my daughter Daughtry is the kind of watered down rock her generation has...And as soon as the sun goes down, she'll see how it should be done.
Daughtry finally got off the stage. My daughter was falling asleep on my shoulder.
We were standing in a mass of equally agitated KISS fans, roughly 15 to 20 feet away from the stage. Great spot! The best "seats" I've ever had for KISS -- and I've seen them 5 times since the 70s.
THEN: "You want the best! You got the best! The hottest band in the world...KISS!!" THE STAGE-WIDE "KISS" BANNER DROPPED. And I was instantly a giddy-jaw dropped open 16 year old (like my daughter) again!
They still LOOK and SOUND AMAZING!! The set list featured lots of classics with about 4 from the recent "Sonic Boom". "Lick It Up" was the only non-makeup KISS tune in the set. Paul Stanley rode a zip line to a mini stage in the middle of the crowd to sing "I Was Made For Lovin' You". Tommy Thayer did "Shock Me" on behalf of the SpaceMan fans! And the first encore was Eric Singer's rendition of "Beth". Gene blew fire during "Firehouse" of course, but spit blood & 'flew' up to the rafters during an extended intro to "I Love It Loud"(instead of my favorite "God of Thunder"). For the FIVE encores they spared us the 'exit and return' bullshit that most bands do. They kept it going after "Beth"!
The show-closer, "Rock N Roll All Nite" of course, was amazing! The fire bursts and deafening explosions from the pyros! The endless showering of confetti! The high-fiving of the old KISS fans remembering and reliving all the glory of a true rock show! I even saw a few guys tearing up as they told their kids, "This is what a rock concert should always be like!" Their kids(and my daughter, too) nodded, wide-eyed as KISS left the stage; the video screens reading "KISS Loves Dallas"! Was that it? This is KISS! Hell no that wasn't it!!
They gave us a FIREWORKS SHOW that made everything we saw on the 4th of July look pathetic.
I loved it! My daughter loved it! KISS FOREVER! -
by SIXX-Again 1 year agoKISS concert tomorrow night(9/18/2010) in Dallas(show's in nearby Frisco, TX)! Radio says Drowning Pool is opening; not Daughtry as I was originally told. That I can handle... Taking my daughter with me -- her FIRST concert. KISS! Just like me back in '78/'79. Everybody's first concert should be KISS: Then you'll always know how amazing a concert can really be -- before other bands ruin the concert-going experience.
